JDownloader is a file download manager for hosting sites. It works with most online file sharing services like Rapidshare.de, Megaupload, Yourfilesto, Filebaseto, and several more. The good thing is that the developers are always updating the list of supported services. And they also update the services currently supported when they stop working, which certainly does not happen this fast with other applications. JDownloader supports multiple downloads at once, bypassing most services' limitations. It has a powerful OCR engine that allows the application to complete those captcha's so that you don't have to, thus speeding the whole process. JDownloader also opens multiple connections to the servers when possible to speed up file transfers as well. Also, this little application downloads videos from the most popular video sharing websites, Youtubeincluded. What I like the most about JDownloader is that it has its own extracting engine. Thus, your compressed files will be extracted automatically upon a complete download. Graphically, the application remains quite basic, but with lots of information about your downloads. And it is extremely easy to add new files for download. There have been lots of changes and new features to JDownloader since version 0.4. Most of these updates fix broken services and add new decryption plug-ins. There have also been some reconnection fixes and new services are always added.
